The February 1 meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by the President with the

Pledge of Allegiance.   20 Members were present.

 

Cruise-In

  -   The Rome Sports Hall of Fame is Sponsoring our Cruise-In July 29, will bring 8 or 9

       Cars, including Richie Evans’ Car.  August 13 & 14  they will be having their

       Induction Ceremony, and they would like some of our Cars on Display.

  -    Carbone’s is Interested in Sponsoring The Cruise-Ins, but not the August Show.

They want to Do  6  Weeks this Year.

-         We are fully Sponsored for the Cruise-In Season.

  -    May 20 will be an Open Cruise In, No DJ, Just a Gathering.

  -    June Sponsors,  3 – Fazio’s Auto,  10 – Venetos,  17 & 24 Carbones

  -    July Sponsors,  1 – Franklin Hotel,  8 – Ellingers, 15 & 22 Carbones, 29 Rome Hall

        of Fame

  -    August Sponsors,  5 – John’s Auto Restoration, 12 – Blvd. Trailer Sales,

        19 & 26 Carbones

  -    September Sponsors – 2 – Ellingers, 9 – Ace Hardware, 16 – Rain-Out

  -    Kurt Stewart of Jamie’s Place is going to Sponsor the Trophies for the Cruise-Ins.

      

Treasurer’s Report given by Miles;

-         The Check Book will be Audited by Jim Esch and  possibly Lysle Parker, at the March

     Meeting.

  -  46 Members have paid their Dues for 2011.

     * The Treasurer’s Report was accepted by the Membership in attendance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Old Business

-         We are going to be Updating the Membership List soon, so get your Dues in as soon as

possible to remain on the active list, and to Continue to Receive the News Letter.

-         No response has been received from Family Dollar as to a Sponsorship of the August

     Show.

-         Kelly’s Sister Kim will Take Care of the Web Site and the Show Registration Info.

 

New Business

-         Mohawk Valley Aviation on May 21 is having an Antique Plane Display, and have asked

if some of our Members Cars could be brought and Displayed.

 

August Show

-         Volunteers are Needed, Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Committee Chairs,  Vote on Judged Show or Picks. 

-         We Need a Well Attended and Positive Participation at the March Meeting

to Get STARTED working on the August Show.  Please come and be Heard,  This

is Your Club and Your Show.  Do Not Wait for Others to do it. We are Already behind

Compared with Last Year, and We Can Not count on Kelly’s Help this Year.

-         Rick asked for Help from Computer Savvy Members, when you are Surfing the “NET”

for Car Show listing Sites, to Please Add our Show to any List that does not have it listed.

-         Committees -  Traffic, Trash, Raffle Tickets, Flea Market, Food Vendors, Flyers,

                        Sound System, Field Layout and Setup, Registration, Parking, Tents.

                        Signs, Photography, Door Prizes, Trophies.

 

News

  - Rick Aiello’s Brother has Started a Company, to Produce Calendars.  He would Like

     to Make One with the Tappet Twirlers.  If you would Like Your Car Considered to be

     Included in a Calendar, Speak with Rick. 

 

A motion By Bob Murtha and seconded by Jin Brady to close the meeting. Motion passed.

Meeting closed at 8:03PM.

TIP – If your door lock freezes up and you do not have Lock Deicer, you can use

          Hand Sanitizer.  The Alcohol will melt the ice.
