The Tappet Twirlers Auto Club

Meeting at 7:00 PM  at the Polish Home

31 Members were in attendance

* Treasurers Report:

Total of $3870.45 in the treasury.

Expenditures may be reviewed if requested.

50/50 = $347.00

Ice Cream = $287.00

$369.00 Donations food +32 items

A motion was made to accept the treasurers report.  Motion accepted

 

*  Friday Nights are going well 85-100 cars good.

Kurt is doing a good job with the food vending.

Ice Cream Floats are doing well, Roger Smith is coordinating see him to volunteer.

 

* August 3 Show:

PLEASE volunteer for a committee if you haven’t already done so.  Chairmen are needed also, see Miles for signup.  Miles has a list for shirt size for volunteers please sign up.

Steve & Mike Szaraz offered a trailer + garage space to do goody bags.

2 or 3 food vendors are lined up for the show - see Dave Strange if you know of any food vendors  that wish to be in our show.

Member’s cars will be in a separate corral  NOT TO BE JUDGED.

 

** We are meeting at the Lee Town Park every Tuesday in July in the upper pavilion.

Memorabilia is needed for a club historic display.  If you have any old club stuff please bring it to a July meeting.

We will not be soliciting major sponsors for charity due to the change in format in awards & judging methods.  HOWEVER door prizes will be gladly accepted.  Brian Esch will draft a letter to prospective sponsors soliciting door prizes.

 

* The 2008 RFA Tappet Twirler Award winner was Amanda Posello.  She won $100.00.

 

* A goodie bag meeting will be held Monday before the show.  Len & Cathy Johnson &  Larry Natarelli  & any volunteers will gather at Steve Gorzinski’s garage.

 

* Volunteers are needed to give seniors a ride in the Honor America Days Parade.  See Bob Murtha.

 

* A Boonville Herald  article by the organizers of the Constable Hall Show thanking the members of the Northern Cruisers and the Tappet Twirlers for a major showing at their event.  Many of our members won awards & the club won the $50.00 for having the most participating cars registered.

 

A motion was made the close the meeting and seconded.  Accepted

 

Bob Augustine won the 50/50 for $12.00
