The June 7 meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by the President with the
Pledge of Allegiance. 25 Members were present.
CNY Car Show Association
- Mike S. will Check at their Meeting on which Day our Volunteers are to Work.
- Their Featured Charity this Year is Toys for Tots, so Please Bring a Toy to Donate.
Treasurer’s Report given by Miles;
- Blvd. Trailer Sales, Fazio Auto, Ace Hardware, and the Rome Sports Hall of Fame,
and Vignetto’s have Paid for their Cruise-In Sponsorships.
- 78 Members have paid their Dues for 2011.
- 30 Shirts, 10 Hats, and 100 Window Stickers Remain.
* The Treasurer’s Report was accepted by the Membership in attendance.
Old Business
- State I.D. # reapply is in process and Jim is Checking with Dennis Berry’s Brother.
- Toni Gerry of the Golisano Childrens Hospitan and Childrens Miracle Network
Along with the Regional Director of Rite Aid are Very Appreciative that Our
Club followed through with our Donation. It was hinted that it might payoff
In the near future.
New Business
- Gary Heffron has 50’s Items For Sale – www.heffrons.com
- There has been some discussion about a Fall Cruise to some Shops, more to come.
Possibly a Trip to the Norwich Auto Museum.
- Our Insurance is Up for Renewal.
- Several Senior Homes would like for some Older Cars to Cruise By so they can
Reminisce about the Old Days.

- Tents, Speak Up Early, the Calander is Filling up. for Members Use - $25,
Non-Member - $50.
- Kurt Stewart can not operate his Travel Diner due to a Bad Back. He will still Sponsor
The Trophies for the Cruise-In. American Potato has Taken over the Food Vendor Duties
and Wants to Contribute towards the Cruise-In Trophies.
August Show
- Jim is meeting with a Trophy guy Mid June.
- Nice-N-Easy has Donated 6 Case of Water for the Show and Chip Clips for Goodie Bags.
- Lowes has Donated some Bags for Goody Bags.
- Americu has Donated some Bags for Goody Bags and Stuffing Items.
- Still No Response from Family Dollar as to Sponsoring our Show.
- the Rome Observer is going to cover our Show and some of our other events.
- The Rome Chamber is going to list our Show in their Site.
- Golf Cart useage has been Ok’d.
- Scrolling Add on the Weather Channel, Rome- $40/Wk, Utica- $60/Wk, Syracuse-$200/Wk.
- It was Suggested to Contact Channel 9 and B104.7 about Mentioning our Show.
- Jim is going to ask the Town to List Our Show on the Park Sign prior to the Show Day.
- Ang Fulgeri to do the Date for the Show Sign’s.
- The Savoy and Vignetto’s are going to Donate Ice for our Show.
- Clifford Fuels is going to Donate $200 for Us to Announce their 50th Anniversary
At our Show.
- Sound for the Show, Louie Louie - $900, Big Apple - $500, Selected Big Apple.
- Show Flyers – to Print our Own Flyers $40 for 3100 Flyers.
- We have not heard back from J.C. Whitney.
- The Registration Tent is Reserved a 30’ X 40’ for $375.
- Show Raffle Tickets, Brian Esch has them ready for Pick Up, Please get in touch with Him.
The Money and Stubs are due back by Noon the Day of the Show.
- A Motion by Brian Esch and 2nd by Rick Aiello – that our proceeds from Raffle to go into
The General Fund and not to be Counted Towards our Charitable Donations.
Motion Carried.
A motion by Mike Ray, Seconded by Mike T. to close the meeting. Motion passed.
Meeting closed at 7:53PM.
NEWS – We Won Club Participation at the Constabileville Show
50/50 was Won by Elliot Pollack
Sopranos Car Club is having a Cruise-In Saturday July 9 at Seymores Diner Rt. 233
Check with Jim Brady on the Time.
Parades
Lee Center – July 1, Meet at Yaworski’s at 6PM
Utica - July 4, call Bill Dunham (507-9999) – Meet at Lady of Lordes Church across
the Street from St. Elizabeth Hospital at 5PM, Party after the Parade at Proctor
Park 7PM and Fireworks.
