2006 Newsletter
· 43 members attended the meeting held on 11-7-06 in our new location.
· The club received a “thank you” card from the Army’s HHC 2-108th for our donation to their family reunion picnic. This is another example of your club’s generosity to local people and organizations that need help.
· The Daily Sentinel ran two articles featuring our club and the donations we gave to the Police/ Fire Memorial, and the Rome Humane Society. The Humane Society presented the club with a plaque.
· The treasurers’ report for October was read, voted on and accepted.
· To help cut the cost of mailing our newsletter, if you would like to receive the newsletter in cybertronic format, please email Marie at MGauci@twcny.rr.com. Please keep in mind that this is only an option, and that we are not doing away with our hard copy. We will continue to mail you a hard copy if this is your preference. Two club members, Melanie Patrick and Dave Strange, sent the club donations to help defray the cost of mailing the newsletter. Thank you both!
· A vote was taken to move forward on the nominations made at last month’s meeting for the club offices. The nominees were accepted as follows:

Michelle Danti is the chair for the upcoming Christmas
party to be held at The Beeches in Rome on Dec 8th. Michelle received $1500
from Cruise International as a thank you for our work. The money is going
towards the cost of the Christmas party. The party information is as follows:

Tickets are free for paid members and $25 per guest

5:30-6:30 Hors D’oeuvres and open bar consisting of beer,
wine and soda
o
8:00 door prize give away
o
9:00 50/50 drawing
o
6:00- 12:00 music and dancing with Bruce Melnick

· Club President Larry Natarelli up dated the members about the Syracuse National 2007 event. They plan on having Dennis Gage from the T.V. show “My Classic Car”. Street Rod Magazine is incorporating the Syracuse National in the “Power Cruise” Road Rally from Columbus, Ohio, to Syracuse. The car auction will also be expanded to two days. It sure is nice having a major show in out back yard!
· We received an annual request from Welcome Hall for a donation. A vote was taken in favor of giving $100.
· The contribution to Lake Delta Fire Dept. for use of the meeting space is $20/ evening.

· A club history section called “Blast from the Past” will be featured in our newsletter to tell our club’s story over the past years. More to follow.
· We are requesting show veterans to send in show tips for our newsletter. Call Marie (339-1711).
· Please bring to the next meeting ideas for:
o winter seminars for our club
o the 2007 Friday Night Cruise-in summer long event.
· We were asked to help get 1000 lbs of “pop tops” for Meg Szaraz. Please help spread the word. The club was mentioned in the newspaper article on last page of this newsletter’s hard copy, or in the Adobe email attachment.
· Club President Larry Natarelli talked about things he had wanted to work on this year, and things he wants to see the club follow thru on; more in the December newsletter.
· Daphne Gibbs won this meeting’s 50/50.

asked by the Association to have a good representation at this meeting because
politicians will be in attendance. The topic of discussion will be a new
license plate for car aficionados. Because of the short notice, the membership
in attendance at the Nov. 7th club meeting, were urged to
participate. .

2007 Rock Around the Dock committee is forming- we need
to meet with the Rotary Club regarding placement for the cars next year.

Two members, Mike Bottini and Rich Cianfrocco, had photos of their rides featured in the current Good Guys Magazine. The article was covering the Rhinebeck car show.
