The October 5 meeting was called to order at 7:06 PM by the President with the
Pledge of Allegiance. 23 Members were present.
Treasurer’s Report given by Miles;
- 83 Members have paid their Dues for 2010.
- Currently 12 of this Past Years Cruise-In Sponsors are Showing Good Interest
For Sponsoring Next Year’s Cruise-In’s.
* The Treasurer’s Report was accepted by the Membership in attendance.
- Old Business
Charitable Donations
- We received word from Rome Hospital that they no long Provide Car Seats to
needy New Parents, due to Liability Issues.
- We Discussed Charities to Donate the Money from the Syracuse Nationals and from
Our Show Proceeds. A List was made of All Charity Ideas, and the Members present
were instructed to Each Choose Three from the List to Give $500 to. The Most Votes
went to Veterans Outreach, then Lucy’s House, and the Lee center Fire Dept.
**After the Board Reviewed the Choices. They Decided to put the Lee Center F.D.
Donation up for a ReVote, and asks the Membership to remember this Money is to
go to a Charitable Organization. The has Selected a List of Charities to Choose from.
- The $150 Donations from Our Show Proceeds will be Decided on at the November
Meeting. Our Annual Donations are Tappet Twirlers Memorial Scholarship Fund (RFA),
RCH Scholarship Fund, and the Rome Rescue Mission.
- Don Jones offered to pay $50 of the $80 to Buy an 1/8th Page Add in RFA Year Book.
It was Decided to Spend up to $150 for a ½ Page Add.
New Business
- 15 Club Members Showed up for the Lake Delta Fire Dept. Show. Jim Mortis
Won Best Chevy.
- The 7th Valley Show was a Very Nice Show, Paul Strife Won Best Street Rod.

- Our June 7 Meeting will be held at the Lee Town Park because the RFA Play
will be going on that Week, so the School asked us if we could change our
Meeting Date or Location.
- The Rome Observer is Going to do a Story on Our Club, it should come out Mid to Late
October. Update – The Reporter that was going to do the Story is no Longer
with the Rome Observer.
- Bob Cain’s Mother Passed away, Our Condolences to Bob and his Family.
- As a show of Appreciation for those who Work the August Show Next Year, the
Club will provide Meal Tokens to be used with the Vendors at the Show.
Unfortunately our Worker Appreciation fell short on time to get organized.
- The Christmas Party will be at the Franklin Hotel again this Year. It will be
December 11, starting at 6PM.
- Sponsorship for the Cruise-In should be uniform for each Sponsor, A Motion
By Roger Smith to set it at $200 per Week was made, 2nd by Rick Aiello
And passed.

- Board of Directors - Don Jones, Bob Augustine, Bob Murtha, Paul Strife, and
Dennis Berry.
- President - Jim Brady Vice President - Peder Messina
Treasurer - Miles Thompson Secretary - Michael Thompson
Assistant Secretary - Mike O’Rourke
- Voting will be by Secret Ballot, and Write Ins will be permitted.
News
- Tucci’s has Heated Indoor Storage for $100/Month.
A motion was made by Bob Murtha, and seconded by Jessie to close the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting closed at 8:47PM.
Next Meeting November 2, 2010.
